You’ll find the dining room small but cozy, with a casual vibe that’s relaxed and unpretentious — a place where families, solo diners, and groups coming off the beach feel equally at home.
The menu leans heavily on seafood, particularly their all-you-can-eat fish and shrimp options, served in various styles that invite sampling different flavors each visit. Quick bites, small plates, and brunch options add a flexible touch for different dining occasions throughout the day.
Inside, expect practical seating and easy accessibility, including accommodations for wheelchairs and families with small children. The service tends to be fast and attentive, matching the casual, laid-back atmosphere. Although the exterior might not stand out and the setting is modest, the focus remains on hearty comfort food and balanced options, with a notable selection of homemade Mexican-style shrimp cocktails and other local specialties. Parking is convenient and free, making it a straightforward stop in this quietly lived-in neighborhood.
This is a spot that appeals to those looking for an unpolished, honest meal rather than a polished dining experience. "The experience was exceptional - Great food an service for the price."
"To small i had to wait about 20 min to be seated on a table needs a bigger place"
"All you can eat fish, your choice of either blackened, garlic, or fried."
5 I was born and raised here in the area, moved to Illinois 7 years ago, came back and THIS place! Ah blew my mind. The price was fair, service was on point, the atmosphere was casual and chill, and especially the food we had the ayce fish & shrimp (you can order different ways each time!), shrimp cocktail (homemade, Mexican style with avocado, onion, cilantro and tomato juice served with fresh fried corn tortilla chips, popcorn shrimp (best "popcorn" we've ever gotten they were whole shrimp cut up. Usually it's fake farm raised mini shrimps in disgusting batter and pre fried. Not these. These were real and my daughter loved it.), menudo to go (I had at home later that evening, the best flavor, perfect balance of hominy to meat, and to finalize we had a slice of the pecan tres leches. Everything was amazing!!! Provecho let me tell you please support this business so I can come back every. single. time. I come home to visit!
5 great food, limited seating AVD they only take cash but they do offer an ATM. they have a limited schedule. I believe Thursday to Tuesday open at 11 am.
4 The food and hospitality at this place are absolutely excellent. The fish and shrimp deal is really amazing. This place definitely lacks curb appeal and the styrofoam plates aren't ideal (although possibly a sensible COVID friendly option) but once you can get over the aesthetics, it really is worth a visit. Don't forget the delicious desserts which are offered at incredible prices!
4 This is my family's traditional stop when we go to the beach every year. The food is good and the dining area is a little small but comfortable. The dishes are great but this time I feel like the portions are smaller and the prices are a little too pricey. Personally, I hope they can add more lights to the restaurant. Still a good place for mariscos.
4 I was too lost to even remember to get a picture before clearing half the plate. 6 flour tacos of bistec covered in melting cheese, with their amazing orange/red sauce. Dear God, I wasn't even hungry and I still killed this thing. My only issues were the lack of sign outside making it a little hard to find and the fact that their sink had no running water. It could've been perfect.
4 This was my first time going here, and it was ok. The alligator information session was great! The guy had an engaging personality and really knew about alligators. I saw the big gator in the pond. I walked the whole path that surrounded the center but didn't really see much worth mentioning. There is a water treatment plant that was kind of interesting. Employees were nice and friendly.
4 This is a small restaurant, not for big crowds. I must say, the staff and food were so good here. I wanted to come back after eating the shrimp Tacos because I made a mistake and was going for the fish tacos. I got half grilled and half fried. All were on corn tortilla which was fine, it made it bearable with holding the taco and it's very loaded! The sauce for it was delicious as well.
5 I love it there!!! Their 13.99 all you can eat buffet is awesome. The taste is great. The garlic shrimp/fish is my favorite. Their agua de Jamaica is bomb!!! Overall I super recommend this place.
